The Tropical Journal of Natural Product Research (TJNPResearch) is committed to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the scholarly publication process. Authors are encouraged to carefully consider their decision before submitting a manuscript, as withdrawal after submission can cause significant disruption to the journal’s editorial workflow and resource allocation.

Authors may request the withdrawal of their manuscript at any stage; however, the following conditions apply:

  • Before Peer Review:
Authors may withdraw their manuscript without incurring any charges if the request is made before the peer review process begins.
  • After Peer Review Has Commenced:
If a manuscript is withdrawn after peer review has started but before final decision or acceptance, a processing fee of USD 50 will be charged to cover the administrative and editorial resources already expended.
  • After Acceptance or Proof Stage:
Withdrawal of a manuscript after acceptance or during the production stage is strongly discouraged. Authors who choose to withdraw at this stage will be required to pay a withdrawal fee of USD 100 to cover the significant editorial and publication costs incurred.

Important Notes:

  • These charges are not publication fees but are intended to compensate for the time and resources committed to processing the manuscript.
  • TJNPResearch operates as an open access journal in accordance with the DOAJ definition of open access, ensuring that all published content remains freely accessible without subscription or paywall barriers.
  • Authors retain copyright of their articles, and publication under the selected Creative Commons license is not affected by this policy.

Authors are advised to thoroughly review the Instructions for Authors and carefully consider their readiness before submission to avoid unnecessary withdrawal.

Tropical Journal of Natural Product Research (TJNPR) is concerned about the withdrawal of manuscripts after submission. Hence, the policy on withdrawal is critical for authors. It is mandatory for authors to follow the publication and plagiarism ethics of TJNPR.

It is deplorable to withdraw a manuscript from a Journal for the reason that it is being accepted by another Journal.

Before submitting the manuscript, authors should cautiously check the facts and data presented in the manuscripts are precise and without errors.

All authors including corresponding and co-authors must confirm the number of authors, authorship, approval and integrity of the manuscript before submission.

A manuscript can be withdrawn at any phase of review and publication process by submitting a request letter to editorial board stating the reasons for withdrawal. The request letter should be endorsed by the co-authors.
